Description
This 1989 BMW 325i coupe was rebuilt for competition in NASA Spec E30 racing in California in the 2010s before it was purchased by the seller in 2022. It was reportedly driven on-track five times under their ownership, most recently at a NASA Southeast Region track day at Roebling Road Raceway in Pooler, Georgia. The car is finished in white with a black hood and BMW Motorsport-style #7 livery, and power comes from a 2.5-liter M20 inline-six mated to a five-speed manual transmission. It rides on 15″ gloss black 949 Racing wheels and adjustable coilovers with Bilstein shocks. Inside, the stripped cockpit houses a full roll cage and an OMP HTE-R Art racing seat with a Schroth Racing harness, a Lifeline Zero 360 fire suppression system, an electrical cut-off switch, a Coolshirt system, a Garmin Catalyst GPS system, and a CAE Ultra shifter. Additional equipment includes a Mishimoto aluminum radiator, front brake cooling ducts, a decklid spoiler, and a rain light. This BMW E30 race car is now offered in South Carolina on a bill of sale with a NASA logbook. Originally finished in Bronzit Beige Metallic, the body was repainted white during the build, and it features a black hood as well as a BMW Motorsport-style #7 livery. Further details include a front tow strap, hood pins, yellow-painted mirror caps, front and rear spoilers, and a Lifeline rain light. The car is not equipped with windshield wiper arms or door windows.
