This 1989 Ford Mustang convertible is #637 of approximately 895 examples modified by Saleen Autosport for the model year. The car is finished in Medium Cabernet over white leather and is powered by a 302ci V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes Saleen bodywork, a white soft top, Flowmaster mufflers, Bilstein shocks, Eibach springs, and 16″ Saleen American Racing five-spoke alloy wheels in addition to a MOMO steering wheel, air conditioning, cruise control, and an Alpine stereo. The seller acquired the car on BaT in March 2023 , and recent work consisted of replacing the soft top and rear window motors. This Saleen Mustang is now offered with a New York title in the seller’s name. The convertible body was modified by Saleen with a revised front air dam, a rear spoiler, side skirts, and rear valance. This example was refinished in Cabernet Red (2H), according to the seller. A decal affixed to the front bumper cover identifies this example as #637 built by Saleen Autosport for the 1989 model year.
