But the W124 is better in nearly every conceivable way, unless you prefer the more "vintage" appearance of the W123. Disclaimer - I'm a big fan of the W124 and have owned over a dozen since 1996. And if it were the diesel version, would likely last until the Rapture. Or at least star in the next Mad Max movie.
