Nicknamed the King of the Hill, the ZR-1 was engineered to compete with the world's finest performance cars and remains one of the most significant Corvettes ever built. Powered by the legendary 5.7-liter LT5 V8, developed with the help of Lotus Engineering and hand-assembled by Mercury Marine, the ZR-1 delivered world-class performance while maintaining the reliability and drivability Corvette enthusiasts have always appreciated. Finished in stunning Bright Red over a matching Red leather interior, this exceptional example has traveled only 24,943 original miles since new. Recently acquired from a private collection, this Corvette has clearly benefited from careful preservation and conscientious ownership throughout its life. It presents beautifully inside and out while retaining the originality collectors seek. One of the most desirable features of the early ZR-1 is its ZF 6-speed manual transmission, giving the driver complete control over the incredible LT5 powerplant. The combination of the high-revving 32-valve V8 and precision 6-speed gearbox delivers an exhilarating driving experience that remains impressive more than three decades later. This ZR-1 starts easily, idles smoothly, and runs and drives exceptionally well. The engine pulls strong throughout the RPM range, the transmission shifts effortlessly, and the car delivers the balanced handling and confidence that made the ZR-1 an international performance benchmark. Whether you're adding it to a serious Corvette collection, displaying it at shows, or enjoying it on weekend drives, this Corvette is ready to impress.
