These panoramic roofs are very hard to come by and there have been two recent sales of 4700 and 6700. Also don't let the color sway your opinion as these can be changed at relatively affordable prices. Good luck to all!April 23rd, 2024 at 2:07pm EST$1,500 bid placed by @Danielgagne12April 23rd, 2024 at 1:27pm ESTbabtainy (15) 0Close to it.. within its boarders April 23rd, 2024 at 1:26pm ESTBrandonpreim (12) Seller 0@babtainy is says that your area code is Santa Cruz? You're not far enough away for it to make sense to ship it as I could imagine it would cost a few hundred dollars. Road trip your R129!April 23rd, 2024 at 1:15pm EST$1,450 bid placed by @babtainyApril 23rd, 2024 at 1:14pm ESTbabtainy (15) 0Hi there Shipping to 95076? How it would be? Any idea? April 20th, 2024 at 6:38pm EST$1,400 bid placed by @TimClaxtonApril 18th, 2024 at 6:00pm ESTBrandonpreim (12) Seller 0@ferraril1971 The missing trim piece can actually be found off of a standard hardtop which is very common as every single R129 came with one. Plenty of them for sale everywhere. Same goes for the scuffed piece on the outside. It can be found from a standard hardtop. You could always go to a body shop and see if it is something repairable as it's not too serious however taking it from another hardtop may be a better bang for your buck. So if you have a regular hardtop with the tan interior then you are set! If not you could realistically find one for 300-500 dollars. April 18th, 2024 at 5:54pm ESTferrari1971 (0) 0Can you please specify the missing trim items. Also, how would one go about to fit the scuff on the trim moulding. I would not think that MB would sell that piece separately. Honestly it isn't even something you absolutely need because usually it's hard to get the rear window to frost up and even then just blast the heater and it should go away on its own.April 17th, 2024 at 12:57am EST240Dturbo (3) 0@Brandonpreim. Thanks for the reply. I’ve run across a couple of R129 tops where the defrosting glass doesn’t heat even though the connection works. Good to know that you checked.April 16th, 2024 at 9:08pm ESTBrandonpreim (12) Seller 1@240DTurbo yes I tested in on my black SL and it appeared to work correctly. April 16th, 2024 at 9:07pm EST240Dturbo (3) 0@Brandonpreim Has the rear window defroster been tested and working?April 15th, 2024 at 10:09pm EST$1,000 bid placed by @thirteenonesApril 15th, 2024 at 3:41pm EST$250 bid placed by @dreye2danielApril 15th, 2024 at 2:52pm ESTBrandonpreim (12) Seller 1@harry19 funny you mention that I did have a set of chrome ones that were brand new however I just sold them. If I am satisfied with the turnout of this auction I can guarentee more listings here in the future!April 15th, 2024 at 2:25pm ESTharry19 (21) 0Welcome Brandon! Beautiful piece you have for sale! You rarely ever see these, and they always fetch a premium when you do. Beautiful 600 in the background. Please let us know if you'll have other 129 items coming up. I am on the hunt for a set of 18" 129 wheels. GLWTA!April 15th, 2024 at 12:27pm ESTBrandonpreim (12) Seller 1Hello everybody! This is my first of hopefully many auctions on this website. I have sold a few panoramic roofs and R129 Sl's in the past through Bring A Trailer under the username "Brandonpreim". If anybody wants to see my work and as a credibly check, please refer to my history there. This panoramic roof will be sold with the stand and cover. The roof itself is in pretty good condition. Flaws include the missing trim piece, the scuff which can be seen in the photo gallery, and a few small scratches on the paint. The glass is in perfect condition with no cracks or chips anywhere. Also the retractable sunshade is in perfect operating condition and retracts fine with no jamming or hesitation. I also urge people who are interested to understand that it's ok if the paint color or interior color does not match. A repaint of the hardtop would cost under a thousand dollars and the trim pieces can be removed quite easily and can be re-dyed. These roofs can be sold for any color combination assuming you're willing to spend some extra cash to
