Description
Developed as Honda's first production mid-engine supercar, the NSX featured pioneering all-aluminum construction, a high-revving VTEC V6, and a chassis developed with input from Formula One champion Ayrton Senna. One of just 704 U.S.-market examples reportedly produced in Berlina Black over Black leather upholstery with a 5-speed manual transmission for the inaugural 1991 model year, this NSX was originally delivered in California and reportedly owned by a physician before being imported to Saskatchewan, Canada, by its second owner. It was subsequently acquired by its third owner, an automotive enthusiast based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Remaining mechanically stock without engine performance or exhaust modifications, the car has benefited from extensive maintenance, including an engine-out service, timing belt replacement, and installation of a new OEM-style clutch assembly. This NSX is now being offered for auction in Canada with approximately 65k miles showing on the odometer.
The Berlina Black exterior showcases the NSX's distinctive wedge-shaped profile, featuring aluminum bodywork, retractable headlights, an integrated rear wing, side-mounted engine air intakes, and a full-width rear taillight assembly. Additional exterior features include power-adjustable side mirrors, flush-mounted door handles, red brake calipers, and dual exhaust outlets. The car rides on factory 1996-model-year NSX alloy wheels fitted with spacers and Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 tires bearing 2023 date codes (4023) and measuring approximately 8/32" of remaining tread depth. The seller reports that most of the exterior retains its original paintwork, although one panel was reportedly refinished following minor damage associated with a windstorm. The paint has recently been wet-sanded, polished, and protected with a Naisol ceramic coating. Stone chips are noted on the front end and other vulnerable areas, including the quarter panels, consistent with normal road use.
