1991 Alfa Romeo 164 Base

Just replaced all 4 tires. Come and drive it home. It's back! I did work on the car replacing the fuel injectors, fuel hoses in the engine compartment, boots and gaskets for the intake runners, fuel pressure regulator, spark plugs, throttle sensor and idle sensor. Removed the fuel pump and replaced the rubber submersible hose that was cracked (the real problem why it wasn't running right) and the one way fuel valve. The tires are old and the flex pipe for the exhaust needs to be replaced. This part can be purchased through RockAuto with a part that can be cut to fit.

The Alfa Romeo 164 was an upscale sedan that I believed competed with BMW, Jaguar and other sport sedans. I purchased the car in 2008 in Maryland and drove it back to central Illinois. Great trip with no issues from the car. Cruised at 70 mph all day long and still returned mileage in the 30 mpg range. Still a great car to drive.

I have owned for about 14 years and it has been driven on a regular basis but not so much the last 2 or 3 years. A recent Carfax report shows that the car has had three owners since 1991 with me being the third owner. Mileage might be correct according to the Carfax report. This is a fairly solid car and may be perfect for a person that would like to enter the old car hobby. Tired of BMWs and Jaguars. Then you may want to give this Alfa a try.
