KEY FACTS A rare and significantly upgraded ABT C5, based on the lauded Audi S2 coupe, which has been extensively modified for enhanced performance. Under the bonnet is a heavily modified 2.5-litre (originally 2.2-litre) turbocharged inline-five engine, sending power to all four wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. This is an original Swedish-market example, which was first registered in May 1991. The odometer currently indicates 26,128 km, which the seller believes to be the genuine total for the current instrument cluster, though it was replaced when the car had covered around 128,200 km. This is understood to be one of only around 40 ABT C5 models built between 1989 and 1991, with just 10 of these being based on the Audi S2. EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES Finished in Laser Red over a black leather-trimmed interior, with special-stitched floor mats. It rides on a set of original 17-inch ABT three-piece split-rim alloy wheels manufactured by OZ, framing red Porsche-branded brake callipers, and fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres. This bespoke build features a 2.5-litre inline-five engine by ACE Competition, upgraded with a forged Hohenester Sport crankshaft, forged JE pistons, Verdi forged connecting rods, ARP bolts, a K26/27 hybrid turbo, a larger intercooler, and a reprogrammed ECU, producing approximately 450hp. It also boasts HR coilovers, Porsche front brakes with 330mm discs and four-piston callipers, and a full 3-inch Ferrita stainless steel exhaust system. Further upgrades include an ABY bottom end, honed and planed, black Siemens injectors, a 044 fuel pump, a K&N air filter, a Sachs organic clutch with solid pressure plate, Powerflex bushings in the rear suspension, braided steel brake lines, and Momo pedals.
