Description
This 1991 BMW 318i sedan has been registered in California since new and is powered by a 1.8-liter inline-four linked to a five-speed manual transmission. Finished in Brilliant Red over perforated black leatherette upholstery, the car is equipped with front and rear spoilers, yellow-lens inner headlamps, tinted glass, Ground Control coilovers, Bilstein shocks, an M-Technic steering wheel, and a Z3-spec short-throw shifter. Other features include basketweave 14″ alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a cassette stereo, power windows, air conditioning, and a sunroof. The current owner—a BMW master technician—purchased the vehicle in 2018, and the clutch, coolant pipes, and oil-system gaskets subsequently have been replaced. This E30 is now offered at no reserve by Arctic Auto Werks—a BaT Local Partner —on behalf of the owner with a Carfax report, a tool kit, and a salvaged California title in the owner’s name. The four-door bodywork is finished in Brilliant Red (308), and the rear part of the car has been repainted, according to the seller. Yellow-lens high-beam headlamps have been installed along with a 325is front lip and a deck-lid spoiler. Other equipment includes a sunroof, a power antenna, tinted glass, painted mirror caps, and black trim. The Carfax report documents an incident that caused “minor damage” to the rear and right-rear areas of the BMW in December 2017; the seller states that the salvage title was issued after the E30 got hit in its rear bumper in a parking lot, ruining that bumper and bending the panel between the taillights. A dent remains visible beneath the taillamps, and the sunroof is scratched.
