Description
This black-on-black 1991 Mercedes-Benz 500SL was purchased in 1994 by the late James G. Robinson, who founded Morgan Creek Productions in 1988. The company is known for producing films such as Young Guns, Major League, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, True Romance, and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. Powered by a 5.0-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, the car features include a removable hardtop, 16″ Gullideckel wheels, fog lights, a JVC stereo, and automatic climate control. This R129 is offered by the seller on behalf of Robinson’s estate with a clean Carfax report and a Maryland title in the owner’s name. The car was finished from the factory in black (040) and has been refinished. Exterior features include a removable hardtop, fog lights, headlight wipers, and fender air vents. The seller states that the soft-top hydraulic cylinders have been replaced.
