1992 Ducati 750 F1

1992 Ducati Murayama Special w/ 11120 km / 6900 miles. Bring a Trailer listing pending. Will update once it goes live. Interesting piece of Japanese Ducati history. Built around the proven Ducati Paso 750 platform, the Murayama Special is a rare low-production special created by Murayama-san and associated with the Japanese Ducati tuning and racing scene. Featuring bespoke bodywork, a hand-crafted fuel tank, and distinctive styling unlike any production Ducati, the Murayama Special represents the creativity and individuality that characterized Japan’s specialty motorcycle builders during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Reported to be one of just nine examples produced, the design transforms the fully faired Paso into a striking endurance-racer-inspired machine. The enlarged alloy fuel tank incorporates distinctive intake styling and flows into a unique seat and tail section, giving the bike an appearance somewhere between a factory racer and a limited-production coachbuilt special. Power comes the venerable Ducati’s 750cc air-cooled desmodromic L-twin paired with a six-speed gearbox. Combining Italian mechanical character with uniquely Japanese craftsmanship, the Murayama Special offers a riding and ownership experience unlike any standard production Ducati. Finished in yellow and blue with approximately 11,120 kilometers (6,900 miles), this example presents as a rare opportunity to acquire one of the most unusual Ducati-based specials produced in Japan. Highlights Reportedly one of approximately nine Murayama Specials produced Based on the Ducati Paso 750 platform 750cc air-cooled desmodromic L-twin Six-speed transmission Hand-crafted alloy fuel tank Unique Murayama bodywork and tail section Distinctive Japanese coachbuilt special Approximately 11,120 km (6,900 miles) While Bimota, NCR, and Fast by Ferracci are familiar names among Ducati enthusiasts, the Murayama Special remains largely unknown outside Japan. Its combination of rarity, craftsmanship, and period Japanese motorcycle culture makes it a compelling addition to any collection of unusual Ducatis, Japanese specials, or coachbuilt motorcycles.
