Description
This 1992 Jensen Interceptor is one of a claimed 15 S4 examples produced and is noted to be the last car built in the series. Chassis 170/2016 is a left-hand-drive “saloon” that was first delivered to a customer in Germany and later spent time in Denmark before being brought to the US sometime after 2018. Finished in green over tan leather upholstery, the car is powered by a fuel-injected Chrysler 360ci V8 linked to a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. It rides on 16″ alloy wheels and features a front spoiler, quad headlights, power windows, and a wraparound glass hatch. Inside, the cabin houses heated and power-adjustable Recaro front seats as well as a Nardi steering wheel, a Pioneer cassette stereo, and air conditioning. Acquired by the selling dealer in 2025, this Interceptor S4 is now offered in Illinois with an assembly photo book, a briefcase, a tool kit, and a Florida title. Jensen Parts and Service was formed in the wake of Jensen’s bankruptcy in the mid-1970s. The company was acquired in 1978 by its manager Ian Orford, who unveiled what was to become the Series Four Interceptor in 1983. Later renamed Jensen Cars Limited, the company went on to produce a claimed 15 S4 Interceptors through 1992. The cars featured revised headlight surrounds and door handles as well as a redesigned lower front fascia with a spoiler compared to the prior-generation model.
