In fact, I suspect that all the work (interior, exhaust and facelift) may have been done by a professional tuner as one project. The interior job is certainly not a work of an upholstery shop. Apparently, it is a glitch that has happened before with another listing. As to any accidents or prior damages, we are not aware of anything, although it is said in the listing that the car had been refinished (to address your comment about paintwork). If this car had been previously damaged, we would have no way of knowing it. The facelift conversions are so common on these that I would not link it to any damages, especially knowing that the interior has been customized as well. In those pics, the paintwork around the front panel stickers and the damaged front VIN plate got my attention. The straightened VIN plate is still visible on engine start Youtube clip. To the seller: Have you ever had an assessment on the previous damage history of the car? If yes, can you please share your findings? The facelift conversion maybe done after a frontal crash. BTW, it's not just the front but the rear end as well. Many 500E cars had this done. All you have to do it look at prior MB Market listings.
