It can be done for a nominal charge less than $200. I would have to check with the shop for the exact price. 2. 1990-1992 R129 did not come with the windscreen cover for the trunk. You can see the three strap hooks are not present. I have owned the 1992 500 sl for 2 years. The car has all original paint that is in flawless condition. The original soft top is in excellent condition as well. The car is complete with original books, unused toolkit, spare tire and windscreen. I have had the car serviced when I purchased it by the MB dealer (Keyes European). I did the convertible top hydraulics at New Life Upholstery in Reseda out of an abundance of caution. I changed the shift knob to a burl walnut one, the original comes with the car. Both vanity visors as well as the vanity arm covers. A new accordion cover , (ordered from MB classic center in Long Beach). A new Mercedes Benz battery was installed a few months back as shown in the photos (date code). Both remote keys are in working condition accompany the car which is very rare. Video will be uploaded. The original radio will be installed back in the car after coming back from service. The car was just serviced at MB dealer in preparation for the sale as notated on the carfax history report.
