But a 3M rubber wheel will take it off in 5 minutes. Id leave it, personally. Its perfectly era-correct to me. The mounting holes from the front plate can be covered with rubber flat buttons/pins. Calls it "the first truly modern SL". September 13th, 2021 at 1:26pm ESTBVC500 (5) 0Beautiful car, but I do question the belief that the paint is all original. The bumpers and lower cladding are glossy, when they were originally supplied in a semi-matte version on all colors with the exception of Signal Red, where you had the option of matching glossy Signal Red or contrasting darker red in semi-matte. The only other explanation is that the bumpers and lower cladding were polished, but even then they wouldn't be as evenly shiny as they are. Not a big deal to many and the finish looks excellent, but would matter to a nit-picky buyer that is looking for a car that has had absolutely no paint work.
