1992 Nissan R32 GTS-t

Stock #7141 Timeless, functional, and fun to drive day after day, there’s no Japanese Classic quite like the R32! Exterior Overview The R32 Skyline is a sensational model and one of Nissan’s finest performance vehicles to date. Enthusiasts love models like this 1992 GTS-t sedan for their ease of ownership and performance prowess, and the two extra doors certainly come in handy for piling in additional passengers. Backed by a stout turbocharged I-6 and a balanced, RWD layout, this sport saloon can hold its own in the twisties, too. Beloved for its timeless appearance, this R32 is finished in a clean Platinum Silver Metallic (KL0), and is set off by a GTR style front bumper, rare optional OEM side skirts, and OEM GTR alloys. Originally Super Clear Red (AH3), the paint is in good shape overall save for some minor blemishes associated with the respray. Aftermarket coilovers help dial in the ride height too, getting rid of any unsightly wheel gap. Best of all, the 68k miles on the clock are verified and documented, so you feel good about the purchase of this classic Skyline. Timeless, functional, and fun to drive day after day, there’s no Japanese Classic quite like the R32! Interior Overview We’ve been dealing with the R32 chassis for the better part of a decade now, and it’s impressive just how well these classic interiors seem to hold up. Save for some minor dash bubbling which is typical on this chassis, the interior fit and finish on this Skyline is far above average overall, and the soft and supple cloth upholstery shows no rips, stains, or tears to note. The center stack is easy to navigate and frames functional digital automatic climate control. The A/C blows ice cold for these summer scorchers, and hot heat isn’t far behind for when the seasons change. Adjacent to the HVAC, an upgraded USDM Pioneer headunit is fully operational, with Bluetooth and CarPlay integration. A MOMO steering wheel feels nice in the palm, and the driver can tilt the column to gain more control behind the wheel. Power windows operate as advertised all the way around, as do the locks and electric folding side mirrors. All four door cards are in good nick, and the headliner is tight and tidy against the roof. The carpets are clean, and overall, this cockpit really impresses for being over 30 years old. We even installed a brand new fuel sender to promote stress-free cruising for years to come. Mechanical Overview The RB20DET is a true do-it-all powerplant. It has an engaging powerband, is easy to maintain, and parts availability is surprisingly good thanks to a cultlike following worldwide. We’ve already done the legwork of a comprehensive service, where an oil and filter service was performed to keep things well lubricated. From there, we changed out the fuel filter for a bit of a tune-up, and we replaced all serpentine belts to reliably drive your accessories. A new thermostat helps regulate temperatures on the RB, as well. After a set of new spark plugs, this RB was ready for a road test and this one makes quick work of getting up to highway speeds, with a Kakimoto exhaust emitting a tasteful tone under throttle. An ideal choice for daily driving, an automatic gearbox mates nicely to the I-6 and it shifts through the tree with a surprising amount of precision. The aftermarket suspension rides well, and if we were to nitpick anything, the coilover brands are different front to rear. Both front caster arms were replaced with new ones too, to dial in this Skyline’s handling. The steering is easy to navigate, we installed new boots on the rack, and the brakes stop with confidence after a full fluid flush. The GTR alloys complement the chassis nicely, and the tires are knee deep in tread to keep you glued to the pavement. With the maintenance performed, she drives like a dream and we think the lucky next owner will agree! *California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
