1993 Ford Mustang Cobra SVT

Vehicle Description 1993 Ford Mustang $124,995 When it comes to modern muscle cars, a handful of vehicles come to mind as truly special. When Ford debuted its fourth-generation Mustang in 1994, it all but made the Fox-body third-gen an instant collectible. The 1993 model Mustang represented the end of an era, and while being the last of one chapter in Ford's illustrious history, this 1993 Ford Mustang Cobra SVT is simultaneously the first product of the Blue Oval's then-new Special Vehicle Team, which would go on to make some of the most drool-worthy muscle cars in the history of the autoverse. With an unbelievable 38 actual miles (yes, thirty-eight) on its odometer, this is essentially a brand-new 33-year-old car. Barely driven off the showroom floor, this numbers-matching Cobra sports its original black paint and body panels. Exclusive to the 1993 model year, just 4,993 of these first-year Mustang Cobras were ever made, making this car highly desirable for both enthusiasts and collectors. Inside, we find the original Opal Grey leather interior still protected by plastic. The four-spoke power-assisted steering wheel sits just ahead of a five-pod analog gauge cluster featuring a 7,000-rpm tachometer and 140-mph speedometer. The original AM/FM/CD head unit is in place, still sporting its factory plastic barcode cover, along with the factory HVAC controls and a barely touched shift knob, making this Mustang feel as though it just emerged from a three-decade-old time capsule. Sporting modern amenities such as power locks, windows, and mirrors to complement its air conditioning and cruise control, allowing this car to be comfy enough to drive every day. Under the hood, this Cobra sports its original naturally aspirated 5.0-liter High-Output V-8 engine. With its Cobra-specific GT-40 style intake manifold, heads, and cam, this potent small block made an impressive 235 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque when it rolled off the assembly line. That power is routed through its original Borg-Warner T5 five-speed manual transmission, beefed up from the factory to handle the Cobra's increased power, before it heads out to the 3.08-geared 8.8-inch rear end.
