1994 Mazda RX-7 R2 5-Speed

This 1994 Mazda RX-7 R2 was previously listed on BaT in October 2023 before it was acquired by its current owner on the site in May 2024 . Subsequent work involved a rebuild of the twin-turbocharged 1.3-liter Wankel rotary engine to factory specifications by Terminal Motorspors, utilizing new Mazda apex seals and rotor housings. Additional preparation included installation of a GReddy radiator, a factory ECU, a VDO head unit, Koni dampers, and Eibach springs along with replacement of the clutch, flywheel, and various ignition and fuel system components. Shifting is through a five-speed manual transmission linked with a limited-slip differential, and the car is finished in Brilliant Black over black cloth upholstery. Further equipment includes 16″ five-spoke wheels, a front air dam, a rear spoiler, a front shock tower support, and air conditioning. This FD has 42k miles and is now offered in Oregon by the consigning dealer— a BaT Local Partner —with spare parts, a rotary-style wristwatch, a die-cast model car, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Montana title. The car is said to be one of approximately 156 examples finished in Brilliant Black and specified with the R2 package for the model year, which added front and rear spoilers. Additional features include pop-up headlights, front fender vents, and a power antenna.
