Modifications above a standard E36 M3 included six separate throttle bodies, BMW’s then newly developed ‘Vanos’ technology and a 264° camshaft angle, creating an additional 13bhp over its standard siblings. All feature specially made front and rear spoilers, along with aerodynamically optimised door mirrors, M double-spoke aluminium forged wheels, white front indicator lenses, and lightweight aluminium doors.
