Vehicle Description 1995 Ford Mustang $14,997 1995 Ford Mustang GT Convertible — 5.0 HO V8, Crystal White over Tan Leather, Full Power Options Why This Car Is Special The 1995 Ford Mustang GT Convertible occupies a specific and increasingly appreciated spot in Mustang history. It was the second model year of the SN95 generation — a platform Ford developed with roughly $700 million in investment to replace the aging Fox body after a decade and a half of production. The SN95 brought a stiffer unibody structure, revised suspension geometry, and a more contemporary body that drew design cues from the original 1964 and a half Mustang while moving the car forward visually. By 1995, Ford had sorted out the early production wrinkles, and the GT represented the sweet spot of that generation before the 4.6-liter modular V8 replaced the beloved 5.0 for 1996. That last point matters more than most people realize. The 1995 model year was the final year Ford offered the pushrod 5.0 High Output V8 in the Mustang GT. After 1995, that engine was gone from the GT lineup, replaced by the two-valve modular 4.6 — a smoother but initially less powerful engine that the enthusiast community took years to warm up to. The 5.0 HO had been the foundation of the Mustang performance reputation since the early 1980s, and its last year in a GT convertible makes this particular configuration genuinely significant for collectors who know the history. You are not just buying a used Mustang. You are buying the end of an era in open-air form. This specific car — Crystal White with a black power convertible top and a full tan leather interior — was also built at Ford's Dearborn Assembly Plant, as confirmed by the first character of the VIN indicating domestic Ford production. The '45T' sequence in the VIN decodes to a Mustang GT convertible body style, confirming this is a factory-built open car, not a coupe conversion. It also came equipped from the factory with the Traction-Lok limited-slip rear axle, the Mach 460 sound system, and the full GT package, making it one of the more completely optioned 5.0 GT convertibles from the final year of that powertrain combination. Those numbers may look modest by modern standards, but the engine's character is what separates it from a spec sheet. It pulls hard from low in the rev range, responds immediately to throttle input, and has a mechanical presence that the later modular motors did not replicate until significantly more development work was done. The aftermarket support for this engine is enormous — more so than almost any other American pushrod V8 — which means that if a future owner wants to build on the factory foundation, the parts and knowledge base are deep and affordable. Behind the 5.0 sits a 4-speed automatic transmission, a practical choice in a convertible GT that was likely ordered this way from new. The Traction-Lok rear axle is an important factory option on any Mustang, limiting wheelspin by distributing torque between both rear wheels rather than routing it all to the path of least resistance. It makes
