With just 43,000 original miles, this final-generation Mini has been thoughtfully maintained and tastefully presented, offering a superb blend of collectible appeal and reliable drivability.Finished in classic British Racing Green with a white roof, the paintwork is striking—rich, glossy, and recently refreshed. The roof displays only a small central blemish, barely perceptible, yet disclosed in the spirit of transparency. Chrome trim throughout gleams with brilliance, and the car rides on authentic 12-inch “telephone style” alloy wheels wrapped in excellent rubber. Rust, often the Achilles’ heel of vintage Minis, is notably absent here—this is a dry, solid car ready for years of enjoyment.Under the hood lies the spirited 1275cc fuel-injected A-Series engine. Featuring a modern MPI ignition system (with no distributor), this setup ensures quick starts and smooth performance. The engine bay is clean and sharply detailed, punctuated by a red aluminum valve cover that adds a tasteful dash of flair. A recent oil and filter service was performed, and there are no leaks to note—another testament to the car’s overall condition.Inside, the original fabric seats remain in excellent shape, with no rips or stains and wonderfully supportive bolstering—comparable to period Recaros. The carpets and mats are well-kept, the headliner tight and clean, and the cabin as a whole exudes care and preservation. Cold air conditioning, a rarity in any classic Mini, works beautifully and makes this Cooper a more enjoyable driver in any climate. The trunk compartment is tidy and houses a like-new spare tire. Even the undercarriage and chassis components remain well-presented in black, further indicating the car’s rust-free status and long-term viability as either a collector’s piece or weekend driver.A truly exceptional Mini that offers vintage styling with late-model upgrades, this 1996 Austin Mini Cooper is a standout in the growing world of classic imports. With values on the rise and supply limited, opportunities like this don’t come around often.
