1996 Bentley Turbo R

Bentley Turbo R 1996 ~ 50,000 series ~ Most desirable year and combination of Black with Magnolia and tan accented interior Here is a really stunning looking and presenting Bentley Turbo R finished in Masons black with magnolia Connolly hides with tan accents, black carpeting. The twin fine lines to the waist-rails are hand-painted in matching tan. The car is in absolutely stunning condition. There is no mistake and she is show-worthy. This Bentley is very well known to us having been fully maintained by us by an owner who would request everything and anything be done without sparing expense. Every service is completely up to date. The car has travelled only 59,700 miles. The Bentley Turbo R is powered by a 6.75 litre Rolls-Royce designed V8 engine with the Zytech fuel injection system and Garrett Turbo-charger. Exuding in excess of 400 horsepower it pumped out over 550 foot pounds of torque. So she is quite spritely indeed and, quoting Modern Car’s review upon its release; “such is the power of this 2.5 ton behemoth, when you power down streets in Sussex, she blows leaves off trees in Kent!”. It has the look and a true behemoth it is! With the black and completely integrated colour-coded bumpers, this is indeed a handsome beast. This is the last year (50,000 series) of the Turbo R series (1985-1997) and is the most desirable of the SZ Turbo R model. It was the fastest of all the production run Turbo Rs and, besides a far more powerful engine unit, had many upgrades from the earlier models to include; integrated front and rear bumper, slim-line Bentley grill, 17″ alloy wheels, 4-speed automatic transmission with centre console gear-shift, the latest dash configuration with extra wood and upgraded 4-vent AC, a multi-speaker stereo system, revised seat design and full leather headliner. In addition to the “standard” Turbu R, this example has the chrome wheel option and the burl walnut insert panels on all 4 doors, with the famous winged “B” logo on all for door cappings. Having been meticulously maintained by Park-Ward, this Bentley Turbo needs absolutely nothing. Some $10,000 was spent at its last major service to include mechanical and electrical items. Nothing was over-looked, ignored or deferred. I reiterate, mechanically and operationally, this car needs nothing – guaranteed. Under the bonnet, the presentation is amazing. It has not been precision detailed but simply kept clean and tidy throughout its life. The car sports the latest style (factory specification original) Turbo R 17” alloy wheels in chrome finish. Gorgeous! The body of the car is straight and the paint deep in lustre and consistency. It is almost perfect without any fading, dents or dings. Rubbers, mouldings, badges and external fittings are all in excellent condition. There is truly nothing one could criticize and, as such, is of show quality. The interior of this car is equally stunning. The Connolly leather shows beautifully and is completely original. It has never been re-dyed or messed with and yet remains very soft and supple without any signs of typical wear. The wood throughout is excellent and can comfortably be described as near perfect showing only the most minimal lacquer cracks. Hardly noticeable and mentioned ONLY for clear disclosure and, otherwise, no chips or marks. Carpets, seats, dash, front top-roll, rear parcel shelf and fixtures are truly excellent and I best encourage you to look at all the photos to fully appreciate how nicely the interior presents. The car also had an up-market current technology Blaupunkt stereo CD system recently fitted by Park-Ward. Notwithstanding the car’s impeccable maintenance, it will still undergo our “Predelivery Commissioning” program which is a process to ensure all services are up to date and all operational features function and operate as they should. This occurs once the car is sold and prior to delivery. As part of Park-Ward’s maintenance program, all electricals and features & functions are inspected so everything is operating as it should; windows, seats, mirrors, A/C, heater, lights, wipers, etc. Right down to every light bulb in the dash. This ensures a true, “take the keys and drive” example with no additional budget needed to attend to any nuances or gremlins. Being a well-maintained example. It is tight to drive, brakes strong and rides as a Bentley should. When describing a car for sale, one should be very careful to use terms like “perfect” and “flawless” because nothing but a brand new car can be described this way. That said, this Bentley is very close to, is of a very high standard and is an easy 10 out of 10 driver rating. She is 100% factory original in specification in every respect. ~~ This very masculine Bentley Turbo R is a stunning example which simply oozes road presence! Being a rare and unique example, it makes for a wonderful addition to any collection or provide that special “oomph” for your weekend ride! ~~ International buyers always welcome ~ we have sold and shipped 100’s world-wide. ~~ **Please note: All Park-Ward Motors’ cars, once sold, undergo a process known as “Predelivery Commissioning” which is a detailed procedure for bringing all service and maintenance up to date before shipping to you as the new owner. As an experienced and professional restorer and collector of some 45 years, we have our own in-house Rolls-Royce dedicated service facility with qualified craftsmen on hand. Although our cars have already undergone workshop inspection PRIOR to being offered for sale, once sold, it will be put thru our workshop to ensure all major and minor services are up to date, is mechanically maintained in good shape and all major features and functions are operating as they should. The “Predelivery Commissioning” process ensures your new Rolls-Royce is t urn-key. This is all done at NO CHARGE. We do this even though the car is contractually being sold “as-is”. As a passionate collector of the marque I take great pride and pleasure in passing on any of these great cars to its next owner (“caretaker”). Who else selling a Rolls-Royce on eBay does this?! Depending on our work load, please allow approximately 21 business days for this process. For more information on the Park-Ward Motor Museum and our skills, please eBay message me and I would be happy to show you some 200+ Rolls-Royces restored to varying levels over the last few years ~~ For extra photos on this fine example go to the link below.
