The name 'Grand Sport' was a tribute to the Grand Sport of 1963, where GM only made five. The Production run in 96 was limited to only 1,000, and from that number, 810 were coupes, and 190 were convertibles. Pop open the hood and check out the LT4 engine that produced a respectable 330 horsepower and 340 foot pounds of torque. This version of the popular 5.7-liter small-block V-8 features a lot of goodies to give it its power, like deeper-breathing cylinder heads, a different crankshaft, a higher-lift camshaft, and higher-rate fuel injectors, to name a few. The LT4 engine starts, idles, and runs like new,” with no smoke, attached to a six-speed manual transmission that shifts effortlessly, controlling those horses. Look at the glossy Torch Red Paint on this baby. It stands out over the black interior, which makes this a stunning car. The C4 fastback coupe has a glass hatchback with a remote hatch release for better storage access and a rear window defogger, plus a fiberglass roof panel that’s removable to keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Take a look inside to see a ton of conveniences that provide plenty of comfort and style for your cruising pleasure. There are comfortable bucket leather power seats that are adjustable in 6 different ways with lateral support. Other amenities include the leather-wrapped sport steering wheel, power windows, and power door locks. Get in the groove with Glen Frye's “ the heat is on” and all your other favorite classics with the spectacular sound system, from the Delco Bose AM/FM Stereo radio with a seek-scan cassette and CD Player. Then there's the cold A/C and analog/ digital liquid crystal display instrumentation that displays a combination of graphics for speed and RPM, fuel level, and other essential engine functions. Additional features include an anti-theft system, cruise control, airbags, power disc brakes, power steering, tilt wheel, and electronic speed control. Corvettes are fun, and this one is loaded and ready to be enjoyed by its new owners. It will not disappoint. The C4 corvettes are climbing in value and are always a great car to add to any collection.
