1997 GMC Yukon SLE 1500 4WD

Vehicle Description 1997 GMC Yukon $16,900 ***Vehicle Located in MA*** Zoom Classic Cars presents this 1 owner since new 1997 GMC Yukon 1500 SLE. As American buyers began shifting away from traditional station wagons during the 1990s, General Motors introduced a new generation of full-size sport utility vehicles that helped define the modern family SUV. Among the most desirable of these today is the 2-door GMC Yukon, a model that perfectly blended truck-like capability, V8 power, and everyday practicality long before SUVs became the dominant vehicle on American roads. Offered here is a highly original, one-owner 1997 GMC Yukon SLE 1500 2-Door 4WD equipped with the desirable 1SB Preferred Equipment Package and powered by the legendary 5.7-liter Vortec V8 engine producing 225 horsepower. Automatic Transmission with Overdrive. Purchased new by the current owner and driven just over 172,000 miles, this Yukon has been meticulously cared for, always garage kept, properly maintained, and remains a remarkably honest survivor. The two-door Yukon was produced in significantly lower numbers than its four-door counterpart, making surviving examples increasingly sought after by collectors and GMC enthusiasts. Two-door Yukon production represented only a small fraction of overall Yukon output during the mid-to-late 1990s. Their distinctive proportions, removable rear cargo area practicality, and increasingly rare status have made them among the most collectible GMT400 SUVs on the market today. Finished in its original Emerald Green Metallic paint, this Yukon continues to present exceptionally well. The paint remains original throughout with the exception of the aftermarket Cervini\'s hood, which was professionally painted to match. The body is straight, rust-free, and retains excellent panel fitment throughout. As shown in the photographs, there are a few minor cosmetic imperfections including a blemish beneath the 5.7L hood emblem and some weathering on exterior plastic trim pieces consistent with age. Overall, the truck remains an outstanding example of a well-preserved original vehicle. The exterior is further enhanced by several tasteful additions including:* Cervini\'s performance-style hood with scoops* Full chrome front brush guard* Desert Fox Baja auxiliary driving lights* Lund roof luggage carrier* Chrome wheels* Deep-tinted windows* Side running boards* Tow hitch* Clear-covered taillights* Auxiliary rear-mounted lightingInside, the tan cloth interior remains in excellent condition and reflects decades of careful ownership. The bucket seats, center console, rear folding bench seat, carpeting, door panels, dashboard, and headliner have all been exceptionally maintained. There are no rips, tears, or significant wear issues. Faux woodgrain accents on the dashboard and door panels provide an upscale appearance that was characteristic of GMC\'s premium SUV offerings during the era.Power comes from the dependable 5.7L Vortec V8 paired with the aforementioned automatic transmission with OD. The engine starts easily, runs smoothly, and delivers the strong low-end torque that made these trucks so popular. A dual exhaust system with chrome tips provides an aggressive yet tasteful sound. According to the owner, the vehicle has been consistently serviced throughout its life and everything functions as intended. It has successfully passed Massachusetts inspection for 2026 and is ready to be enjoyed immediately. Included with the sale are the original owner\'s manual, car cover, supporting documentation, and a clean Massachusetts title in the owner\'s name.Finding a one-owner, rust-free, original-paint 2-door Yukon has become increasingly difficult. Combining desirable styling, Vortec V8 power, documentation, and nearly three decades of careful ownership, this GMC represents an great opportunity to acquire one of the most iconic and increasingly collectible SUVs of the 1990s. The 1995–1999 two-door Yukon models have developed a strong following among GMT400 enthusiasts because they offer the proportions of the later performance SUVs while retaining the rugged simplicity of the original platform. Clean, unmodified, one-owner examples like this are becoming increasingly scarce, particularly in the Northeast where rust-free survivors are difficult to find.
