Description
Very nice and original 30th Anniversary in Dark Toreador Red. 4.6 V-8 with sunroof. I drove it home to Iowa from Scottsdale AZ. where it lived its whole life. It turned 40K miles on that trip. Absolutely ZERO rust. Kept in a climate controlled building so the leather and the rubber are all very nice. One of the most common ailments for 96-97 Cougars is the chrome Mylar trim in the bumpers and body side. It goes bad on museum cars even! It spots up and turn real nasty. You can't get replacements in the correct width. I did find black in the correct width and feel it really looks nicer anyway...The car has never been smoked in and smells new,.. New rear shocks, front and rear stabilizer links. Runs fantastic. 24 MPG highway for me. The only warning light is for the windshield washer low (it is not empty...). It does have an Alpine 6 disc changer in the trunk with the control head secretly hidden behind the ashtray door. It has all the giveaways from Ford that will go with it except the keychain. The umbrella, pen, flashlight, certificate, uncut gold key are all unused. All kinds of brochures and literature are included. Everything works as it should including ice cold A/C. Clean Carfax. Title in hand. No excuses car.
