Description
Stock #7197 Built to stand the test of time, this Japanese Classic has staying power and is an incredible overall value, with a timeless design to boot! Exterior Overview Upon its debut, the Celsior set the standard for Japanese luxury vehicles. Some three decades later, this engineering marvel still feels modern, and manages to outclass brand new vehicles in comfort and refinement. Our C-Package UCF21 is a facelifted version of the first-generation platform, with updated styling, and revised mechanicals. At only 67k verified and documented miles, this Toyota has seen a fraction of the use of our domestic LS400s. Finished in Diamond White Pearl (051) the cosmetics are in good shape overall, although we wanted to note a record of a previous passenger rear quarter panel, door, and side skirt repair. That does little to take away from this Celsior’s visual appeal, however, as it’s hard to find fault with the cosmetics save for a few chips and dings. Affordable, collectible, and cool, this fabulous four-door would make for a clean slate for a VIP build, unique family hauler, or dependable daily driver. Built to stand the test of time, this Japanese Classic has staying power and is an incredible overall value, with a timeless design to boot! Interior Overview The cabin is spacious for a sedan and has loads of electric amenities so that everyone can cruise in comfort. The driver and front passenger benefit from dual side and front SRS airbags and power chairs to find the ideal seating position. The driver can utilize the electric tilt and telescoping steering column to get comfy, and functional power windows, power locks, and power-folding mirrors all operate and make daily use more enjoyable. The tan wool upholstery is soft to the touch and in good shape. The seats lack any major rips, holes, or tears and the matching material can be found in the door cards. The digital dual zone climate control is intuitive to operate, with cold A/C and hot heat available at the press of a button. We also replaced the A/C compressor to keep things comfortable as we cruise through the remaining hot months. Upgraded USDM BOSS audio supplies the tunes, and comes prepped with Bluetooth functionality to soundtrack your drive. The headliner is clean and held taut to the roof and lacks major damage and the carpets have withstood the past 26 years without sustaining major abuse. Aside from some light seat and carpet staining, it’s hard to complain about the interior and even a rare OEM trash receptacle, owners manuals, maintenance booklets, and OEM carpet mats and trunk liner are included with the purchase. Mechanical Overview Under the hood is one of Toyota’s best drivetrains, and it’s worth noting we previously serviced this vehicle with a new timing belt, water pump, and cam seals under previous ownership. The platform is shared with our domestic LS400 models so parts and service are a snap. Stout bonnet shocks suspend the hood so you can easily service the 4.0, or show it off at events. This 1UZ-FE is a smooth and stout powerplant and is fresh off an oil and filter service. It churns to life, care of a new 12v battery, and the engine is linked to a five-speed automatic gearbox, that allows the Celsior to accelerate much more quickly than preceding 4-speed cars. Eight new spark plugs help maximize the 1UZ’s power potential, and VVT-i technology squeezes a few more ponies out at higher RPM’s. Shifts feel reassured and power is thrown to the rear wheels, as it should be in a luxury saloon. It stops quickly thanks to large, standard ABS brakes that bite down hard when called upon. The suspension insulates completely from the road and can be raised and lowered with the press of a button. For VA state inspection, new front caster arm bushings were installed. The power steering is on point and feather-light and this UCF21 goes right where you point it. The Falken tires are in great shape and grip the pavement tight. They’re also quiet, and are a perfect mate for this luxury sedan! *California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
