KEY FACTS This E38-generation BMW Alpina B12 5.7 L is a rare and luxurious V12-powered performance saloon, understood to be one of just 59 long-wheelbase examples produced, combining impressive performance with the refinement and comfort of BMW's flagship E38-generation 7 Series. It is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.7-litre V12, producing around 387PS and 560 Nm of torque, driving the rear wheels through a five-speed Switch-Tronic automatic transmission. This example was manufactured in March 1998 for the European market, and is understood to have subsequently been exported from Germany to Japan before moving to Estonia, though it is now located in Poland. The odometer is understood to indicate approximately 85,300 km, though this is not warranted. The model featured Alpina-specific engine development, revised suspension tuning, distinctive aerodynamic styling and the marque's Switch-Tronic transmission, providing a sporting alternative to BMW's flagship luxury saloon. This example is finished in Alpina Blue, complemented by gold Alpina ‘deco set’ graphics and colour-coded aerodynamic styling. It rides on 20-inch Alpina multi-spoke alloy wheels. The cabin is trimmed in black leather with Alpina's signature blue and green stitching and cut-out accents, and features a fully leather-trimmed dashboard, wood veneer trim and a
