1998 Chevrolet S10 Regular Cab

1962 Volkswagen Handy Wagon, Custom V8 S10-Chassis BuildThis 1962 Volkswagen Handy Wagon is a completely customized and truly unique build with a ton of character. These Handy Wagons are already rare and unusual vehicles, originally known for their practical, compact utility design and Volkswagen-based personality. They were built to be simple, functional, and versatile, making them popular with small businesses, delivery use, and specialty commercial applications. Today, they are seldom seen, and finding one that has been transformed into a custom hot rod-style hauler makes this one even more special. This build takes that vintage utility look and gives it a completely different attitude. It now sits on a Chevy S10 frame, giving it a much stronger and more modern foundation than the original setup. Power comes from a 350 V8, paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission, making this little wagon far more exciting and usable than anyone would expect at first glance. The truck has been heavily customized throughout, including an extended bed, built-in ramps, new suspension, new steering components, new wheels and tires, and a great gasser-style stance that gives it a bold, old-school hot rod presence. It has the kind of look that immediately gets attention because it is different from anything else at a show, cruise night, or on the road.A lot of work has gone into this build, including brand-new wiring and many updated components throughout. Everything works as it should, and the truck has been put together to be both functional and fun. The combination of vintage Volkswagen utility styling, small-block Chevy power, S10 chassis, and custom fabrication makes this a one-of-a-kind piece.Key Highlights:1962 Volkswagen Handy WagonRare vintage utility-style VolkswagenFully customized buildChevy S10 frame350 V8 engine4-speed automatic transmissionExtended bedBuilt-in rampsNew suspension componentsNew steering componentsNew wheels and tiresGasser-style stanceBrand-new wiringMany updated parts throughoutEverything works as it shouldOverall, this 1962 Volkswagen Handy Wagon is a wild and creative custom build that blends vintage commercial Volkswagen charm with American V8 power and hot rod attitude.
