Good to know it might just be normal for these cars. We replaced the motor and transmission mounts. It’s very minor, but I wanted to make sure the buyer is aware of everything. August 6th, 2024 at 9:04pm ESTGregF (10) 1Maybe its the nature of this engine but my 2000 with 200K miles vibrates a bit at idle too. It was much worse before I had the engine mounts replaced, but still vibrates a bit. I don't know if this engine was ever silky smooth at idle, even when new, but at speed there is no vibration at all - really smooth. The mounts wear out over time. An easy way to test to see if mounts are needed is to start the car, put your foot on the brake firmly, put the car in drive and then rev the engine. If the engine twists like it wants to jump out of the car you have your answer - new mounts needed. It'll be pretty obvious if they are shot. Not a huge issue to replace them. We have replaced the transmission mount and spark plugs. We put Continental radios in all of our older Benzes, they don’t look too out of place while offering Bluetooth functionality. I love my 2000 with over 200k miles. These are some of the best values in the used modern classic market. Get em while they are reasonable. @seller I usually don’t like aftermarket head units in these cars, but the Continental is the perfect choice. In fact all of your upgrade/changes appear perfect to my eye; slightly lowered on monoblocks is so right.
