Superformance Mk III Cobras are built as factory-engineered rolling chassis and feature a boxed steel ladder frame, unequal-length control-arm front suspension, independent rear suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, rack-and-pinion steering, 15-inch Halibrand-style knock-off wheels, leather bucket seats, Smiths-style instrumentation, chrome quick jacks, polished roll hoop, wind wings, and side-exit exhaust. This example has been driven sparingly since new, with the odometer currently displaying 320 original miles. The Malachite Green finish retains excellent gloss and depth, while the white racing stripes remain sharply defined. The body panels exhibit consistent fit, and the brightwork, glass, weatherstripping, and trim present in exceptionally well-preserved condition. The cockpit features black leather upholstery, matching door panels, black carpeting, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, Smiths-style gauges, and a floor-mounted shifter for the Tremec five-speed transmission. The interior reflects the car's limited use and has remained exceptionally well preserved. Power is supplied by a professionally installed 351ci Ford Windsor V8 rated at approximately 385 horsepower. The engine compartment presents in clean, highly detailed condition, and the drivetrain delivers the combination of performance and reliability that has made Windsor-powered Superformance Cobras popular among enthusiasts. The boxed steel chassis incorporates fully independent suspension, coil-over shocks, four-wheel disc brakes, and rack-and-pinion steering, providing modern handling characteristics while maintaining the appearance and driving experience associated with the original Shelby 427 Cobra.
