Description
Stock #7151 This V8 model boasts almost bulletproof reliability, unmatched capability, and is adept as a pavement-pounding daily driver or wicked weekend off-road playtoy. Exterior Overview It’s hard to find fault with the 100 Series Land Cruiser, and this special rig has developed a cult-like following here and abroad. This Warm Silver Metallic (1B1) V8 model boasts almost bulletproof reliability, unmatched capability, and is adept as a pavement-pounding daily driver or wicked weekend off-road playtoy. Set off by chrome 18″ Bradley 4×4 Engineering wheels, aftermarket fender flares, privacy tint, and a set of OEM rainguards, this full-sized rig is a looker through and through. Aside from a few light dings, chips, and scuffs, the paint is in good shape, and this 4×4 is fresh off a comprehensive service. Offered with a mere 96k verified and documented clicks on the clock, this JDM example has logged considerably fewer miles than most American options. Lauded for its refinement, this safe and spacious steed is practical, collectable, and easy to service. A do-it-all truck like this is a real-deal Japanese Classic and a true workhorse in every sense of the word. Interior Overview The cabin is expansive and full of premium materials and amenities. Even a few upgrades are on hand, such as the touchscreen Panasonic head unit. Access is made more seamless thanks to functional keyless entry, and a spare key is included with the purchase of this vehicle. Dual SRS airbags are standard for those who value safety and some additional peace of mind. The driver benefits from a tilt-adjustable steering column, and an electric lumbar support makes longer hauls more comfortable. Power folding mirrors, electric locks, and power windows all make daily use more enjoyable and work in typical Toyota fashion. The seats are trimmed in a soft and durable tan cloth. The material lacks any rips, stains, or tears and is in above-average shape. The same material can be found in the door cards, which look good. The middle row can recline, split fold, and tumble forward to accommodate more cargo. The headliner and carpets have withstood the past 25 years without sustaining major abuse, and aside from some light weather-induced discoloration atop the dashboard, it’s hard to critique the cabin at all! Mechanical Overview The body on frame underpinnings are sturdy, and the same can be said for the 2UZ-FE V8. Fresh after an oil and filter service, the 4.7L churns to life with the twist of the key courtesy of a new 12V battery. A new engine air filter allows the DOHC mill to breathe freely, and the exhaust sounds great thanks to a new muffler. The coolant system was refreshed with a new radiator and upper radiator hose, and we replaced the coolant, which won’t be needed for another four years. The 2UZ is linked to a stout automatic gearbox that shifts like a champ. Torque is fed to both axles through a full-time 4WD system. A low range and center locking differential can be engaged when loose road surfaces present themselves. It gets up to highway speeds without breaking a sweat and slows down with confidence thanks to a fresh brake fluid flush, large disc brakes, and standard ABS. The KYB suspension gobbles up small and large potholes with confidence, and new front lower ball joints and front lower sway bar end links were installed before this truck aced its VA state safety inspection. The alloy wheels were then wrapped in new Yokohama 32″ tires. Freshly aligned with new inner tie rods, the new rubber looks mean, quells road noise, and will last for tens of thousands of miles to come! *California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first. CARB certifications will have to be performed within the state. Depending on the vehicle and any existing modifications will affect the pricing. Typically CARB compliance will range between 5-10K. Additional information can be found on the California Air Resources Board website.
