Only thing I could think of that would of caused it is the California sun. Seems more noticeable in the bright sun, you can't really tell in shade. I did have my detail guy do a complete detail and ceramic about 6-7 months ago. I'd be happy to get it washed and detailed for new owner before pick up. Any idea what caused this?? I have never seen this on a Merc before. Was this car Ceramic coated maybe? The hood, roof and trunk was painted by a body in Hollywood, CA. They are the only shop I let work on my cars, I've used them for over 15 years. As far as the fender, it was done by the previous owner. If you are near by, you are more than welcome to come inspect and drive the car. Clear coat was starting to fade so I got it redone. Noticed the right front fender was also previously painted and you can see the cracks in the paint. Hard to see in the photos but you can tell if you look at it up close. I didn’t notice it until I picked it up from the shop. I was going to take back for the shop to fix that and cover the license plate holes in the front bumper but I’ve been busy with work and I never got around to do so.
