Stock #7218 The Crown Estate is one vehicle that consistently shocks our customers. It accepts no compromises, as it's fast, comfortable, reliable, and spacious Exterior Overview Day in and day out at the dealership, the Crown Estate is one vehicle that consistently shocks our customers. It accepts no compromises, as it’s fast, comfortable, reliable, and spacious. This 2000 Athlete V is stylish too, finished in Crystal White/Silver (2FQ), and set off by an OEM optional lip kit, OEM rainguards, a factory rear spoiler, and OEM optional alloy wheels. Save for a few chips, dings, and mismatched headlamps, it’s really hard to complain about the 26 year old cosmetics, and our team of trained technicians has fully serviced this wagon to boot. Best of all, the 51k miles on the clock are verified and documented, and this turbocharged Tourer will last a lifetime. A sleeper by definition, this Crown would be a perfect daily driver, road trip raconteur, or snazzy show piece. No matter how you use it, this rare, reliable, and refined Japanese Classic is a smart investment! Interior Overview Don’t be fooled by its age, this Crown’s interior is a far cry from what Toyota was offering in the states at the time. The materials are thicker and more premium, there’s additional power switchgear on hand, and nary a squeak or rattle protrudes through the cabin. The seats are upholstered in a plush tan cloth, and both front and rear passengers benefit from power adjustable seating arrangements. The material is all in good shape, and is mimiced in the door cards too. The center stack is accessible, and frames functional digital automatic climate control, ripe with cold A/C and hot heat. The adjacent OEM audio system has been disabled in favor of a newer touchscreen positioned above the shifter surround. The sound quality is above average for its age, and save for some slight modification to the trim, it looks nearly factory. The driver can get comfortable behind a tilt and telescoping steering column, and controls for the automatic power windows, locks, and folding side mirrors are close by. The dash materials are soft to the touch, and dual front and side SRS airbags are handy to ease any safety conscious passengers. The rear seat space is massive, and so is the cargo hold. To maximize your experience at the drive-in, you can fold the seatbacks fully flat and gain a giant sleeping area! The headliner is tight and tidy, and the carpets have been protected by OEM mats, and an optional rear rubber cargo liner. All in all, we have little to scrutinize, other than the factory keyless entry being inoperable. Mechanical Overview The 1JZ-GTE under the hood is a true powerhouse. Shared with the Chaser Tourer V and other performance models, these engines are fun to modify, easy to service, and make gobs of power for when you need to breeze past the competition on the interstate. Our trained technicians made quick work of getting this one road-ready, starting with a new 12v battery we tossed in to aid ignition. From there, we also installed a new alternator to keep it properly charged. A new valve cover gasket took care of any unwanted leaks of lubricant, and we topped everything off with a fresh oil and filter service afterwards. Unassuming in stock form, this Crown rips under full throttle, and a slick shifting automatic gearbox shoots power rearward. The factory suspension is responsive, comfortable, and composed even when taking turns at higher speeds. To dial in the handling, new front tension arm bushings were also installed. The power steering is lightweight, and the ABS brakes chomp down with ferocity thanks to new pads and rotors up front. Brand new tires were mounted on all four corners, and lastly, we aligned this wagon to factory specs to keep you tracking straight for the immediate future. A proper estate is a forgotten vehicle here in the USA, but this Crown still feels as relevant as ever! *California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first. CARB certifications will have to be performed within the state. Depending on the vehicle and any existing modifications will affect the pricing. Typically CARB compliance will range between 5-10K.
