2001 Audi S3

Never officially sold in the United States, the first-generation Audi S3 (8L) pairs a turbocharged 1.8-liter four-cylinder with quattro all-wheel drive in a compact hot-hatch body, making it a rare sight stateside. This right-hand-drive, European-market 2001 example was imported from England and has since undergone comprehensive restoration and modification. Refinished in Kemora Grey Pearl, it features a performance tune, an aftermarket exhaust, Raceland coilover suspension, and refurbished gloss-black wheels, along with factory Recaro seats and a standard 6-speed manual transmission. It has also been treated to extensive recent mechanical work throughout. Showing approximately 170k miles on the odometer, this S3 is now being offered for auction in Florida.

This S3 was resprayed in 2025 in Kemora Grey Pearl, a color borrowed from the modern RS3, with the seller noting the pearl content was increased in the formula. It rides on refurbished OEM wheels painted gloss black and mounted with two new tires and two in good condition, and it is equipped with Xenon headlamps. The seller reports no dents or scratches with matched door jambs, notes the engine bay retains its original paint, and adds that the front-right fender was repaired rather than replaced during the respray due to parts availability. The cabin is trimmed in Black and features heated Recaro seats. The seller reports a new Alcantara headliner including the pillars, seats in very good condition with firm bolsters, and usual wear consistent with the car’s age. A CarPlay head unit has been added, with the original OEM head unit included in the sale. The center multifunction display is noted as inoperable, a common fault on these cars.
