We did replace the transmission (different car/different transmission than this obviously) but that really was about 'it' other than my son taking out the spare tire on a RAV4 to the detriment of our Hood/grill. These are solid SUV's. I always said the early ML's were great SUV's but a 'good' Mercedes (interior was cheap to hit the initial price point) but MB dialed up the luxury for later ones like this (meanwhile this is an AMG so even more so!) What a beauty! Someone is going to get a BEAST for not a ton of $$! November 5th, 2025 at 8:11pm ESTStuttgart_Steel (492) Seller 0With less than a day left, I wanted to check in and make sure everyone has what they need to confidently bid on the extremely clean W163 AMG. A few important notes: - Original paint! - Desirable color combo. So many were silver. 040 Black is arguably the best color on these - One owner until 2025. Texas owned car. Obviously garage kept with how nice it is. Dealer serviced. I literally didn’t feel anything wrong with the truck when it was handed off to me to sell. That’s uncommon on a 25 year old Mercedes. - Low production numbers - 72k is low miles for these. Most are over 100k at this point since they’re so tough and robust and fun to drive. - M113 is bullet proof. Same with the 722.6. - Original floor mats! - Spare tire cover in perfect shape. This is arguably one of the easiest cars I've had the pleasure of shooting as its totally unapologetic and just a straight, clean 040 Black W163. It photographed soooo well and looks as good in person as it does the photos. Not a lot of them came in Black and it's a pleasure to see them pop up in this color combination sporting low miles and with original paint. This is a friend's car I'm helping sell which he drove down to Atlanta, Georgia from Boston just a few weeks ago. We're happy to report nothing happened on the way down and that trip was a good enough sign to me that the car was ready to hit the market. I looked it over and found some a few inches of curb rash (which I fixed) and that was about it. Pretty shocking for a 24 year old car -- most need a few things but not his. This is a very well taken care of example that has been garage kept its entire life. The paint meters as original and it drives fabulously. A W163 is pretty vocal when something is wrong with it and this example was as quiet as a church mouse. I logged about 10
