Stock #7206 At six bucks a gallon, everyone is eyeing their pocketbooks before hitting the road. The good news is that we have a solution that is practical, reliable, and unique! Exterior Overview At six bucks a gallon, everyone is eyeing their pocketbooks before hitting the road. The good news is that we have a solution that is practical, reliable, and unique! This frugal 2001 Toyota bB is ideal for these trying times, and this recently serviced hatch is turnkey and ready to roll, boasting a mere 65k verified and documented miles on the clock. Finished in a classic Toyota Black (202), this spacious five-seater is set off by OEM rainguards, Topy Sibilla alloys, an OEM front lip, OEM side skirts, and an OEM rear apron. Aside from a few light dings, chips, and scuffs, the paint is in good shape, and this terrific Toyota would get tons of attention at the local Cars & Coffee. Easy to service, this retail-ready runabout would make for a killer commuter, fun family hauler, or wonderful weekend cruiser. A Japanese classic with a sterling track record need not break the bank, and when you factor in the cost of ownership, what’s not to love! Interior Overview The cabin is in above-average shape and was clearly cared for in Japan. The Japanese models feature some neat equipment absent from domestically sold Scions. This example includes a prized OEM TV/Radio which supplies tunes through the cockpit and sounds decent. The column shifter and front bench are also JDM options that set this one apart from the xB models. The dashboard lacks any cracking or fading, and dual SRS airbags are standard. The climate control unit blasts cold AC and piping hot heat, so this little gem can be enjoyed year-round. Power folding mirrors, electric locks and power windows all work as they should, making daily use more enjoyable. The seats are in above average shape and are soft yet supportive. The material lacks any major rips, stains, or tears and is mirrored in the door cards, which are in equally good nick. The headliner and carpets lack any major blemishes and have resisted major abuse over the decades. Even the owner’s manual and maintenance booklets are included with the purchase of this fine vehicle. Mechanical Overview With the wheels pushed out to the corners, this compact and efficient FWD drivetrain pays dividends. This layout maximizes interior volume but also makes high-speed cruising a stable affair with its relatively long wheelbase for a vehicle its size. The powerplant under the bonnet is known for its durability, and the 1NZ-FE four cylinder is fresh off a recent service. It quietly whirs to life with the twist of the key, and a new 12v battery was installed so it starts up the first time, every time. A new engine air filter and a new set of spark plugs were installed to ensure top-tier fuel economy, and a new MAF sensor smooths out the power delivery. The automatic gearbox makes good use of the 1.5L powerband and shifts like a champ. It hustles up to highway merging speeds without breaking a sweat, and new front brake pads have been installed for when you need to slow down. The suspension is comfortable enough to be daily driven, and new front lower control arms and rear trailing arm bushings were replaced so that the bB could pass its VA state safety inspection. The power steering is light and on point, and this hauler tracks straight as an arrow. Before it left the shop, the alloy wheels were wrapped in new tires at each corner. Freshly aligned, the new all-season rubber quells road noise and will provide all the grip needed for tens of thousands of miles to come. *California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first. CARB certifications will have to be performed within the state. Depending on the vehicle and any existing modifications will affect the pricing. Typically CARB compliance will range between 5-10K.
