2001 Toyota Crown Royal Saloon

Vehicle Description 2001 Toyota Crown $12,000 Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is excited to offer this 2001 Toyota Crown Royal Saloon, a sophisticated S170-generation JDM luxury sedan that represents Toyota's approach to executive motoring at the turn of the millennium. Imported from Japan and configured in right-hand drive, this Crown combines understated styling, exceptional comfort, advanced Japanese-market features, and the legendary reputation of Toyota's inline-six powertrains. Under the hood is a 3.0-liter 2JZ-FSE DOHC 24-valve inline-six equipped with Toyota's VVT-i technology. Paired with a smooth-shifting 5-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, the Crown delivers the refined, effortless driving character expected from Toyota's flagship sedan. With 123,550 kilometers on the odometer, equivalent to approximately 76,770 miles, this Crown has plenty of road ahead of it while retaining the appeal of an authentic Japanese-market vehicle. The exterior is finished in an elegant pearl white complemented by warm gray lower cladding, giving the Crown a distinctive two-tone appearance without being overly flashy. Factory Toyota styling details include the iconic Crown grille crest, pillar badging, integrated fender marker lights, and original-style alloy wheels. The right-hand-drive configuration immediately sets this sedan apart from the typical American-market luxury car and adds to its authentic JDM character. Inside, the Crown showcases the Japanese philosophy of luxury through a plush tan and beige cloth interior. Rather than leather, Toyota equipped these cars with premium jacquard-style cloth designed to provide a quiet, comfortable, and temperature-friendly seating environment. The cabin features power front seats, woodgrain accents, a factory-designed dashboard, and the kind of meticulous attention to detail that made the Crown a benchmark for Japanese executive transportation. One of the most entertaining details is the electrically swinging automatic air vents, an unmistakably Japanese-market feature that adds both functionality and personality to the cabin. Combined with extensive acoustic insulation, a supple suspension, and a chassis engineered for effortless long-distance cruising, the Crown provides the smooth, isolated driving experience expected of a Japanese flagship sedan. The S170 Crown Royal Saloon is particularly appealing to enthusiasts who appreciate vehicles that were never sold new in the United States. It offers a unique combination of Toyota reliability, rear-wheel-drive dynamics, 2JZ power, executive-level comfort, and unmistakable JDM styling. Whether you're a Toyota enthusiast, JDM collector, or simply looking for something genuinely different from the usual luxury sedan, this Crown Royal Saloon is a compelling addition to the collection.
