Description
This 2001 Volkswagen New Beetle RSi is number 176 of 250 examples produced and is powered by a 3.2-liter V6 linked with a close-ratio, six-speed manual transaxle and Haldex all-wheel drive. Finished in Silver Arrow Metallic over Tropical Orange leather, the car features RSi-specific wide bodywork, 18″ OZ Racing Superturismo wheels, uprated suspension and braking components, a Remus exhaust system, hard-backed Recaro heated bucket seats, and unique interior details. This example was first registered in Japan in 2001 and subsequently spent time in Germany as part of a private collection before being acquired by the selling dealer in 2026 with an 18k indicated kilometers (~11k miles). A recommissioning service was performed in July 2026 after the car had been parked for an extended period, including fluid services, replacement of wear items, a cooling-system service, and Haldex and differential maintenance. This New Beetle RSi is now offered with the owner’s manual, service records, and a Florida title. Based in part on the New Beetle Cup’s modified bodywork, the RSi debuted at the 1999 Detroit Auto Show with flared fenders, revised bumper covers with larger intakes and a diffuser out back, a raised rear spoiler, and a second spoiler above the rear window. Dual exhaust outlets for the Remus system are integrated into the rear fascia, which also features a fog light. The majority were painted Silver Arrow Metallic (LG9R), as this example is.
