2004 Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale

Ferrari’s 360 Challenge Stradale represented the pinnacle of Maranello’s V8 offerings in the early 2000s. Conceived as a lightweight, track-focused evolution of the standard 360 Modena, the Stradale drew directly from Ferrari’s racing experience in the one-make Ferrari Challenge series, as well as from the marque’s GT and endurance racing programs. With extensive use of carbon fiber, titanium, and thinner glass, it shed over 200 pounds from the Modena while gaining sharper aerodynamics, a stiffer chassis, and revised suspension geometry. At its heart, the 3.6-liter, naturally aspirated V8 delivers 425 horsepower at a screaming 8,500 rpm, breathing through a freer-flowing intake and exhaust system that yields one of the most evocative engine notes ever produced. In stock form, power was transmitted through Ferrari’s then-cutting-edge F1 electrohydraulic gearbox, though a very small number of cars have since been converted to the traditional gated six-speed manual—widely considered the definitive driver’s specification. Now more than 20 years since its introduction, the 360 Challenge Stradale has assumed its place as one of the most visceral and engaging modern Ferraris, bridging the gap between analog purity and contemporary performance. Its motorsport-derived DNA, combined with timeless Pininfarina design, ensures enduring collectability. This 2004 Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale is a particularly striking example, finished in Argento Nürburgring over a black interior. It has been converted to a gated six-speed manual transmission, enhancing its driver-focused character and aligning it with Ferrari’s greatest tradition. The cabin is outfitted with lightweight Alcantara-trimmed racing seats, exposed carbon fiber, and pared-down amenities, all true to the model’s ethos of performance above all else.Originally built as one of approximately 1,288 Challenge Stradales worldwide, this car presents today as a highly desirable iteration of an already celebrated model. For the enthusiast seeking the purity of a naturally aspirated Ferrari V8 paired with the unmatched tactility of a manual gearbox, this Stradale represents an opportunity not to be missed.
