2004 Ford F-150 SVT Lightning Base

This 2004 Ford F-150 SVT Lightning is an exceptionally well-preserved, low-mileage example of Ford's legendary factory-built performance truck, finished in Black over a Medium Graphite interior with Ebony accents. Powered by the factory supercharged 5.4L V8 producing 380 horsepower and paired with the heavy-duty 4R100 4-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, the Lightning combined serious performance with the usability of a full-size pickup in a package developed by Ford's Special Vehicle Team. With just 46,248 miles, a clean history, and its original SVT certificate documenting it as build #783 of only 3,781 Lightnings produced for the 2004 model year, this is an unusually clean and highly original example. The certificate further documents an assembly date of November 3, 2003, at Ford's Ontario Truck Assembly Plant. The exterior presents exceptionally well in its original Black configuration and remains remarkably clean throughout. This truck retains the distinctive factory Lightning appearance, including its unique SVT front fascia, side skirts and lower body treatment, integrated fog lights, SVT badging, and signature dual exhaust exiting ahead of the passenger-side rear wheel. The original 18-inch SVT wheels are wrapped in brand-new Hankook Ventus ST tires sized 295/45R18, maintaining the proper factory stance and appearance. A fitted folding leather bed cover provides a clean finished look while preserving the usability of the bed. The body is straight, the finish presents beautifully, and the overall exterior condition is immaculate with no known flaws. Inside, the Medium Graphite and Ebony interior is equally impressive and exceptionally well preserved for its age. The signature SVT sport seats feature the original suede and leather treatment with embroidered SVT logos, and the upholstery, carpeting, dashboard, door panels, steering wheel, and controls all present exceptionally well. The cabin retains its original layout and equipment without the aftermarket alterations so commonly found in these trucks. The truck also retains its keys and remote entry equipment, further complementing its complete and well-kept presentation. Under the hood is Ford SVT's supercharged and intercooled 5.4L V8, factory rated at 380 horsepower and backed by the 4R100 4-speed automatic transmission. The engine compartment presents exceptionally clean and, importantly, remains completely stock. There are no aftermarket pulleys, intake systems, tuners, exhaust modifications, or other performance alterations—the truck has never been modified or messed with. It has been meticulously maintained, runs strong, shifts properly, and drives excellent with no known mechanical issues. The chassis feels tight and composed, exactly as you would expect from a carefully maintained, low-mileage example. The 2004 model year marked the end of the second-generation SVT Lightning and was also its lowest-production model year, with only 3,781 examples built. Of those, only 843 were finished in Black, making well-preserved examples increasingly difficult to find. This truck's combination of just 46,248 miles, immaculate interior and exterior condition, completely stock and original configuration, clean history, and accompanying Ford SVT certificate makes it an especially desirable example of the final-year Lightning. Build #783 of 3,781, it represents the Lightning exactly as Ford SVT intended and is a true survivor ready for continued enjoyment or addition to a collection.
