2006 AM General M1097R1 HUMMER Military version

Vehicle Description 2006 Am General M1097R1 $28,500 Street Dreams Texas - proudly serving classic and specialty vehicle enthusiasts worldwide since 1999. This AM General M1097R1 HMMWV is a strong, clean example of the military's heavy-capacity platform, retaining its stock 6.5L Detroit Diesel V8 and government-issue 4L80E transmission, confirmed by the serial tag. A short road test shows healthy power, smooth shifting, and what feels like solid compression - exactly what you hope for in a RECAP-line unit. Finished in a sharp desert tan and black combination, this truck brings traditional tactical presence with thoughtful upgrades that make it more enjoyable to own. One standout touch is the wood-slat cargo bed, a surprisingly sleek detail that sets this unit apart. The interior benefits from tall-back comfort seats, a welcome improvement over the standard troop seating. Additional features include a black soft top and soft doors, dual dash-mounted fans, diamond-groove rubber mats across the floors and center tunnel, and a pair of all-weather speakers mounted overhead. It rides on rugged Goodyear Wrangler MT tires, completing the correct HMMWV look. The overall condition is solid throughout, with clean structure, good cosmetics, and strong mechanical manners. As expected of the M1097R1 heavy platform, it offers a roughly 4,400-lb payload rating, full-time 4WD, deep low-range gearing, and excellent ground clearance - equally suited for ranch use, parades, or simply turning heads around town.
