2006 Ford Mustang Shelby GT-H

This 2006 Ford Mustang Shelby GT-H coupe is #437 of 500 examples produced for the model year, all of which were intended to be first available exclusively as Hertz rentals, and this example was purchased by the owner of the Hertz franchise to which it was delivered, reportedly before it was placed into the fleet. It was registered in Missouri and Indiana before being sold on BaT in January 2024, and it was subsequently acquired by the seller. Modifications by Shelby Automobiles involved revised suspension components and exterior styling as well as a 90mm air intake, an X-pipe exhaust system with performance mufflers, and Pro-Cal engine management calibration. Power is provided by a 4.6-liter 24-valve V8 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle, and equipment includes a 3.55:1 limited-slip differential, 17″ aluminum wheels, air conditioning, cruise control, a Shaker 500 audio system, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat. Now indicating 7k miles, this Shelby GT-H is offered with a window sticker, Hertz documentation, factory literature, a Carfax report, and a Texas title in the seller’s name. The GT-H was only offered as a coupe for the 2006 model year, and all 500 examples were finished in black (UA) with gold stripes as a tribute to Hertz’s 1966 Shelby GT350-H “Rent-a-Racer” promotion. Exterior equipment includes a rear spoiler, Hertz badging, power-adjustable side mirrors, dual exhaust outlets, and Shelby bodywork consisting of a revised hood, a billet grille insert, and side scoops. Revised hood pins, chrome windshield washer nozzles, and chrome rear marker surrounds have been added. A June 2019 entry on the Carfax report lists damage to the left front and the front of the vehicle. The front splitter, left-front fender, and left door were refinished under previous ownership, and shade variation is noted on the left side of the car.
