2006 Grinnall Scorpion III

This 2006 Grinnall Scorpion III was assembled under previous ownership from a kit produced by and ordered from the Grinnall Company of Stourport-on-Severn, England. It features a silver-finished fiberglass body over a powder-coated space-frame chassis with independent front suspension and utilizes a 2003 BMW K1200LT powertrain consisting of a 1,171cc liquid-cooled inline-four, a sequentially shifted five-speed manual transmission, and an enclosed driveshaft. Features include triple disc brakes, Team Dynamics Motorsport 15″ front wheels, a multi-piece 16″ rear wheel, rack-and-pinion steering, double-wishbone front suspension, and a monoshock mounted on a Paralever swingarm in addition to chrome dual roll hoops, a yoke-type steering wheel, and gray fabric bucket seats with Luke four-point harnesses. This Scorpion III was purchased by its current owner in 2014 and is now offered at no reserve on dealer consignment by a BaT Local Partner with build records, two helmets, an uninstalled MOMO steering wheel, a gear bag, Gerbing heated gloves and socks, and a clean Virginia title. The Kevlar-reinforced fiberglass body is finished in silver and mounted over an epoxy powder-coated space-frame chassis. Features include a tinted windscreen, dual mirrors, wind wings, Clearwater LED headlights, motorcycle-style front turn signals, semi-recessed taillights, and a flush-fit aviation-style fuel filler.
