The 2023 video DOES sound REALLY LOUD and the turn signal noise does not sound overly loud in the video so you can imagine the head scratching from a bidder’s perspective. The exhaust is amplified in the video by the audio. The 3.7 is noisier than the 3.2 I have found. It sounds the exact same as my old W163 ML o used to own. I will do a cold start and show the lack of any exhaust leak. There is no exhaust leak of any kind. The previous owner was not a mechanic, and even other mechanics could not find any exhaust leak. I welcome a PPI as well. June 29th, 2025 at 8:10pm ESTLeaping_Cat (15) 1Just to be clear @genevamotorcars, I understand that that the previous owner struggled with solving an exhaust leak somewhere just south of the exhaust manifold … which explains the unusually loud exhaust sound in the driving video. I am wondering if you would be willing to post another driving video now in 2025. I reviewed the driving video in 2023 and that exhaust DOES sound really loud ..... at least compared to my 4-year-older M112 powered w210 e320. Hard to believe that my E-class would be quieter than an S-class when powered by the same motor .... unless maybe there was some wonkiness with the microphone? The car is available for inspection. Please reach out and we can accommodate that. There are no exhaust issues and never were. The owner came from a V8 W220 and these simply sound a little different. With that being said, the valve covers have indeed been redone as the engine and trans mounts. It runs and drives great. The previous owner did not expect to win this and traded it in on a S500 4Matic we had. The car runs fantastic and is ready for a road trip! Please let me know if you have any other questions!
