What it most likely was is a standard "body service" recommended at that miles/ time period. This includes greasing hinges, lubing seals etc. You can see it was a recommended service that the customer ended up doing. I am not sure on the top. Everything works as it should. I think at the time I didn’t know you could do it because I didn’t want my car cut into or any mods that altered it from the original state. In other words it was made by Mercedes and is not an aftermarket product. It was retrofitted to fit this 2006. It is a great upgrade to have! That looks like the OEM module that was standard from 2009 and beyond. I previously owned a 2006 SL65 and my COMMAND module was not like that.
