Description
KEY FACTS This Mitsubishi Evo IX FQ-340 is a smart three-owner example of the Japanese rally-bred performance saloon, offered from previous long-term ownership. It is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre inline-four, delivering around 345bhp and 321lb-ft of torque to all four wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and Active Centre Differential. This car is number 219 of the rare FQ-340 model produced with input from Ralliart and HKS. First registered in February 2006, this example has had two former keepers. The odometer shows 69,640 miles from new. EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES The Lancer Evo IX MR (Mitsubishi Racing) featured a revised front splitter, Bilstein dampers, lightweight BBS alloys, an aluminium roof, and carbon-fibre exterior trim. The MR FQ-340 was prepared by Ralliart, and featured a revised ECU, boosting the performance to 345bhp at 6,000rpm and 320lb-ft of torque at 4,600rpm, as standard. This example is finished in the bold shade of Rally Red, over a black leather and synthetic suede-trimmed interior, punctuated by satin gunmetal-effect and carbon-fibre trim. It rides on a set of 17-inch twin five-spoke alloy wheels, framing red Brembo brake callipers, and fitted with Yokohama BluEarth GT tyres. Equipment includes xenon headlights, a Mitsubishi-branded Momo steering wheel, an Active Centre Differential, an intercooler water sprayer, automatic air conditioning, Recaro seats, and electrically operated windows and door mirrors. This example benefits from the fitment of a performance exhaust system and a Pioneer stereo. Accompanying the sale is the original driver’s pack, including a stamped service book, a collection of supporting invoices and the original toolkit.
