If I was in the market I'd want to personally get there and do PPI. Put it on a lift etc, test drive it etc.August 22nd, 2025 at 6:32pm ESTStatic50 (145) 0To all those commenting on the value of a Mercedes VMI, I agree wholeheartedly. However I can tell you from many years of experience, getting a VMI these days is almost impossible. MB is getting tougher and tougher giving these out. Some make it sound like all you have to do is ask for one and they’ll print it out for you. Good luck. And my mechanic, who worked years for Mercedes and still has a close friend as a service manager at a dealer and still could not get the actual VIN, just highlights from it.August 22nd, 2025 at 4:51pm EST_joshyyyyy (3) Seller 0Unfortunately we was close on this one but not close enough. Thanks for the bids and comments guys! @convertedgerman @rezwiththebens @outthere @rdm7533August 22nd, 2025 at 4:37pm ESTlionsfan54 (56) 0didn't mean to hijack, sorryAugust 22nd, 2025 at 4:34pm ESTNYCdriver (120) 1@lionsfan54 If this one had half the miles, sure....at 100k the value is pretty much the value. IDK, I have a few really low mileage 221's like it and this just seems so approachable that I think muddying the conversation with questions around minimal value changes don't do the car any favors. I know these cars well and agree a VMI helps add value but at the same time I've seen dealer serviced cars get VMI's that don't show much of anything. It's not the bible to the car and the car isn't a blue chip example. Take it for what it is a well-kept driver V12. @seller, don't intend to hijack, just really appreciate seeing these with miles!August 22nd, 2025 at 4:26pm ESTlionsfan54 (56) 0@NYCdriver agree to disagree, people that know these cars know the value a VMI adds. You get to see what part numbers were used etc. For a machine this complex, seeing 3 word entries on CarFax just doesn't cut it.August 22nd, 2025 at 4:25pm EST$11,249 bid placed by @RezwiththebenzAugust 22nd, 2025 at 4:18pm ESTNYCdriver (120) 0No secret I love nearly all MB's V12 variants (Maybe with the exception of the M137 V12...which still feels great when maintained) but I find all the VMI talk interesting. As something that was never really meant to be in the public's hands, a VMI is hard to come by and MOST dealers won't give them out anyway. It's obvious by the Carfax and the seller's messages that this car's been well-kept but if I were in the market for a cheap V12 MB, this would be up the list considering the dealer services and options list. @_joshyyyyy Good luck with the sale- hopefully this one goes to a home that appreciates how great these cars are!August 22nd, 2025 at 4:14pm ESTRezwiththebenz (0) 0Are you able to assist with transportation?August 22nd, 2025 at 4:00pm ESTlionsfan54 (56) 0@Sergey I'd love to see 13 years of service historyAugust 22nd, 2025 at 3:38pm EST$10,249 bid placed by @ConvertedGermanAugust 22nd, 2025 at 2:35pm EST$9,999 bid placed by @outhereAugust 22nd, 2025 at 10:57am EST_joshyyyyy (3) Seller 2Thank you guys all for the respectful comments on the S65, we personally drove it and put over 300 miles to work, since the vehicle rides like a cloud with a torque monster engine. There is no mechanical issues at the time, suspension works great does not sink, transmission shifts extreme smooth, and we can’t find any oil leaks. She’s ready to go for many more miles truly! August 21st, 2025 at 6:28pm ESTS600V12 (1) 0I agree a VMI is most helpful. I did not mean to sound arrogant at all. 30kMiles on the brakes is pushing it, I agree. Yes your questions are quite reasonable. As an aside, I have a 2013 S600 with Renntech tuning. It has 625 hp and 750 torque. More than the S65, however mine is a 5.5L and this has the monster 6L. The S65 also has better brakes.August 21st, 2025 at 4:49pm ESTRDM7533 (1) 0@S600V12 Yes, I read the entire car fax. I did notice the work performed in October 2014 at 69,417 miles. That was over 10 years ago and 30,000+ miles. I believe my questions are reasonable given the information provided so far. If you disagree, please explain. I am always willing to learn and not come across in an inappropriate manner. Thank you for bringing this up.August 21st, 2025 at 4:12pm ESTS600V12 (1) 1@rdm7533(1) Did you read the car fax? It shows the pads done at69k miles. I am reading on my phone, so I could not tell if coil packs had been done. What about ABC pump Any fluid flushes? Your dealer should let you look at it but may not print the VMI. It helps if you have a relationship with the service writers. Maybe even occasionally take the a bottle of whiskey. Works for me.August 21st, 2025 at 1:53pm EST$9,650 bid placed by @RDM7533August 21st, 2025 at 1:50pm ESTRDM7533 (1) 0When were pads, rotors, belts, spark plugs last replaced?August 21st, 2025 at 1:49pm ESTRDM7533 (1) 0VMI will show dealer service history from first purchase through current day.August 20th, 2025 at 8:20pm ESTSergey (18) 0What is the purpose of getting VMI when it most likely has records only till 2020? Or am I wrong here?August 14th, 2025 at 3:08pm EST$9,400 bid placed by @FORMETBUILDAugust 13th, 2025 at 3:41pm ESTlionsfan54 (56) 0@_joshyyyyy nah, they cite confidentiality and won't release itAugust 13th, 2025 at 3:38pm EST_joshyyyyy (3) Seller 0@lionsfan54 hello we don’t have one, but you can call your local MB dealer and they should be able to provide you with one.August 13th, 2025 at 12:20pm ESTlionsfan54 (56) 0VMI available to look over?
