2008 Lamborghini GTR

DescriptionOMG!! 2008 Ultima GTR We have known the car for a couple of years. The last owner did a lot of deferred maintenance to this car. Unfortunately was relocated out of country. Car comes to us from Orange County in California. Vehicle has a small block Brodex nascar 427 engine (dry sump) with daytona sensored CDI box (set up for street use). Dual oil cooler and cooling fans. Brakes ar AP racing (Aston Martin). New fuel system (original one undersized) for this massive powered 427built on Gen 1 chevy small block. She was tuned at 98 octane(we retuned to 93). Upgraded Carter pumps and Summit AN lines (everything leaked or fraying). Replaced all with Aeromotive and lines & fittings with Aeroquip (aircraft quality). She had shifting issues as well as maintaining idle in gear. Removed transaxle, replaced pressure plate, clutch, related par dr ts & accs., including clutch fork . Turned out pressure plate bolts weren't torqued to proper setting or locktighted- done and done. Shifts smoothly and perfect idle. REalized all the AN lines (oil, sump, coolers, transaxle, etc) were leaking & low quality - replaced all lines. Also replaced clutch master cylinder, fluids and contributions. Had to upgrade all gauges and rewire. Recalibrated the two fuel tanks and modules. Spruced up interior with black carpet and red piping as ordered originally. Custom fit the carbon fiber center console from a RS to GTR. Replaced sparkplug wires, loons, and regulators. Ran additional wiring with shielded cables. Replaced leaky oil pan gaskets, valve cover gaskets & front cover. When we pulled transaxle out of car we aligned pilot bearing and custom adapter plate. Car has been aligned and corner balanced. Wheels are custom spec tires are new, (still chalk marks). Car has had paint correction and coating by a company that does Concours work for Pebble Beach shows. Air conditioning great, (ice ice cold), new air cleaner. Steering wheel removable (see pictures). We will provide complete paperwork on dash controls for instrumentation, switches locations and operations. These developments were comprehensively tested at MIRA (the Motor Industry Research Association) where the group was so impressed by the results that it sought an Ultima GTR as the centrepiece for many exhibition appearances publicising the extensive facilities that MIRA has available for car manufacturers. The ultra clean look of the GTR and the faultless self-coloured gel coat bodywork were achieved not by luck, but by design. The production car feel of the GTR is immediately apparent, from the specially moulded headlight housings and covers to the immaculate panel fit and lack of any external body catches. Elsewhere, items such as the purpose-made electric wing mirrors combine to create the complete picture. The sensational appearance of the car has been applauded by designers and connoisseurs alike and means GTRs remain much sought after in the pre-owned market where minimal depreciation is a reality.
