2009 Ferrari California Base

KEY FACTS This Ferrari California is a low-mileage example of the stylish front-engined grand tourer, which is finished in an iconic colour scheme. Under the bonnet sits a naturally aspirated 4.3-litre V8, delivering 483bhp to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with paddle shift. This California was originally delivered to Jersey, and was imported into the UK in 2011. It is now offered for sale by its current and fourth registered keeper, who acquired the car in May 2022. This particular example offers added appeal for Formula 1 fans, as its driver’s sun visor has been signed by former Ferrari Scuderia drivers Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso. The odometer shows 21,770 miles from new. EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES The Ferrari California was launched in 2008 and marked a number of ‘firsts’ for the marque, including the first use of a front-mounted V8, a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, a folding metal roof, multi-link suspension, and direct fuel injection. This example is finished in the archetypal Ferrari hue of Rosso Corsa over a tan leather-trimmed interior which extends to the door cards and dashboard, offset by Rosso contrast stitching. It rides on a set of 20-inch twin five-spoke alloy wheels, framing Giallo brake callipers and carbon-ceramic discs, and shod in a matching set of Pirelli P Zero tyres. Equipment includes ‘Scuderia’ wing shields, electrically adjustable and heated ‘Daytona’ front seats with three-position driver’s seat memory, automatic xenon headlights, dual-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors, and an infotainment screen with satellite navigation, as well as USB and auxiliary ports. The car will be accompanied by its owner’s handbooks and service book in a black leather pouch, a selection of Ferrari main dealer invoices, a wind deflector, and two sets of keys.
