Vehicle Description 2009 Ford Mustang $59,995 "Engineered for otherworldly performance, the 2009 Ford Mustang GT500 comes with a powerplant that laughs at stock factory output. Torch Red paint with white racing decals adorns the iconic coupe silhouette, creating a bold visual presence without trying to be flashy. The aggressive front fascia carries the signature cobra badge while the aerodynamic rear spoiler adds both style and function. The clean, athletic proportions follow the classic pony car formula while adding contemporary GT500-specific touches throughout. For road-gripping capability, 18-inch wheels come wrapped in 255/45ZR18 front and 285/40ZR18 rear tires, giving this machine the traction needed to handle its extraordinary output. The cabin balances performance with comfort using Charcoal Black and Crimson Red leather throughout. Leather bucket seats hold occupants firmly in place during quick maneuvers without sacrificing long-distance comfort. A full array of amenities includes power windows, locks, mirrors, and seats alongside cruise control, navigation system, and air conditioning. The 6-disc Shaker audio system provides high-quality sound, while the console-mounted shifter gives precise control over gear selection. For monitoring performance metrics, boost and air/fuel gauges mounted in the dash vents give real-time feedback on engine output during spirited driving sessions. Where this GT500 truly exceeds expectations is its radically upgraded powerplant. The 5.4 Liter DOHC Supercharged V8 has undergone extensive modification with an MMR Long Block and 2.9 Whipple supercharger capable of 1500HP. Additional upgrades include Hurricane oil pump, Felpro HD gasket kit, custom supercharger cams, Red fire piston coating, and ID 1000CC injectors. More performance enhancements feature a dual pass heat exchanger, double stack clutch system, and carbon fiber driveshaft. Currently tuned to 725 horsepower for daily drivability, power flows through a Tremec TR-6060 6-speed manual transmission to the 8.8 rear axle. MacPherson strut front suspension works with coil spring rear suspension, shocks, and sway bars for planted handling.
